Saffron - Nghệ Tây

Saffron flowers is the most expensive flower in the world. This is because each plant flowers only produce at most three strands of red fibers, whereas it takes approximately 14 000 strands of fiber to produce an ounce of Saffron. So an ounce of Saffron together with results from 5000 plant saffron crocus. Country Spain is the country’s largest exporter of Saffron in the world.
Saffron or Kuma-Kuma is the name of the spice saffron crocus flower or crocus sativus. This flower has three anthers (stigma). Pistil stalk section, which connects the stigma with the deepest interest, often dried. Well, after drying, Kuma-Kuma was used for cooking spice and dye. Saffron flowers there are two kinds of colors: purple and pink.
That saffron comes from Southwest Asia, can be processed into spices. Saffron flowers fragrant like most other flowers. To taste, saffron is a bit bitter. Bitter taste comes from chemicals that is in Saffron.
